 About 40km northeast of Phan Rang Town, Vinh Hy Bay looks like a tremendous silvery mirror surrounded by strips of white sand and by rocky mountains.

About 40km northeast of Phan Rang Town, Vinh Hy Bay looks like a tremendous silvery mirror surrounded by strips of white sand and by rocky mountains.
 

The bay is considered to  be one of Vietnam's four most beautiful bays, alongside Ha Long in Quang Ninh Province and Cam Ranh and Van Phong in Khanh Hoa Province. Vinh Hy Bay was first included in eco-tours in early 2000. At the moment, it is considered the best spot for eco-tourism in the southern central region.

One of Vinh Hy Bay's most popular places for tourists is Ba Dien Beach, which is good for bathing. About VND10 billion has been poured into a project to improve this beach for tourists.

At Vinh Hy Bay, apart from bathing, tourists can take a boat tour to see the beauty of the sea, the forests and mountains of Nui Chua National Park. They can also visit salt production fields; go diving to see ocean creates and  coral reefs of diverse shapes sizes and colors; climb mountains to explore the forests and bathe in springs.

At night, visitors can stay in houses on stilts. They can sing, dance and drink wine through a pipe together with Raglai, the local minority ethnic people.

Tours of Vinh Hy Bay are available at many travel companies in HCM City such as Saigontourist, Vietravel, Fiditourist and Hoan My. Ten people are needed for a tour.

From Phan Rang, about 260km from HCM City, tourists can visit Vinh Hy Bay by car, though it involves travel over They have to cover two tortuous passes. On the way, they can enjoy watching the magnificence and wilderness of primeval forests and mountains at Nui Chua National Park. This park is the only one in Viet Nam that has a forest system in dry weather. The trip covers a distance of about 40km and takes about one hour.
